Yes, Anna Maria Island is technically separate from Bradenton, but Coquina Beach is your best sunset spot in the area, hands down. The beach has actual parking (a miracle in Florida), clean facilities, and the softest white sand you’ll find on the Gulf Coast. I always bring a cooler and set up near the old Coquina rock formations on the south end. Get there by 6 PM to claim your spot, especially during winter season.
